5-Day Atlas Valley And Sahara Desert Trek: Atlas Hiking & Desert itinerary is one of the perfect mixtures for aspirants’ hikers. trek in Imlil valley explore the lifestyle of the locals and discover the Sahara Desert.

Atlas Hiking & Desert is a medium hike in 2 valley trek and 3 days crossing the Atlas Mountain to the southern flanks to Desert all through, flourishing high valleys around the roof of Africa to some of the most contrasting and varied landscapes of Southeastern, impressive canyons, Kasbahs, Oasis and stunning Sahara dunes.

Atlas Hiking & Desert itinerary starts from Marrakech to High Atlas Toubkal Massif, hiking from Imlil for the trek in 2 days then a trip by jeep to the south via Tizi-N-Tichka in the Caravan road from Telouet Valley to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah passing by Ouarzazate to the road of thousand Kasbahs, to the canyons of Dades and Todra before arriving at Merzouga highest dunes in Morocco, the way back to Marrakech via the volcano Massif Saghro and the longest valleys the Draa before passing again by Ouarzazate and the road to the red town.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Marrakesh - Agersioual - Tizi Oudit (2200m) - Tizi Oussem (1850m):
​You’ll leave the vehicle on the road up towards Imlil at Agrersioual village (1,650m) where you will meet your Berber muleteer and guide. Your first day will be an easier acclimatization trek in the Ouirgane National Park. The terrain here is gentler with copper green soil and juniper trees. Overnight in Gite in Tizi Oussem, a small rustic Berber Village. Approx. 5 hrs of walking time.

Day 2: Tizi oussem (1850m) - Tizi Mezzik (2500m) - imlil (1740m)
Today involves a fantastic climb out of the Azzadene Valley. You’ll head up the valley towards Tamsoult from where you’ll head up towards the pass at Tizi n Mzik (2489m) where you will have lunch before descending Imlil. where you will spend a night in Guesthouse. Approx. 4-5 hours walking.

Day 3: imlil - Tizi -n-Tichka - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley/Gorges
We will pick up you from your GuestHouse we will start our journey from Imlil to Dades Gorges. Across the Tizi-n-Tichka Atlas pass, with far-reaching views across the mountains, to the traditional High Atlas Berber village of Telouet and we continue to Ait Benhaddou to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a spectacular fortified village (Ksour).you’ll take your lunch at Ait Benhaddou or Ouarzazate and continue to Dades valley, we will spend the night in a riad/hotel in Dades gorges.

Day 4: Dades Gorges - Tenghir - Todra Gorges -- Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga
After breakfast, we go from DADES to Toudra gorges, Tinghir, and to the Sahara desert of Merzouga, Berber villages are scattered along the way. we’ll pass through Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud in which we’ll feel the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet then we continue to Merzouga, Camel Ride & Night in Desert

Day 5: back to Merzouga - Agdz - Ouarzazate –Marrakech trough Tizi-n-Tichka
After seeing the sunrise in desert we go back on the camels to Merzouga after the breakfast and take shower in Hotel then start our journey to Ouarzazate trough the Berber villages of the atlas mountains ( Tinjdad , tenghir todra gorges ,Boumalene-du-Dades ),will visit the majestic Atlas Mountains. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the highest road pass in Morocco Tizni Tichka 2260m high offering impressive views of valleys, mountains and many Berber villages nearby. arrive a in evening
