ITINERARY
Day 1 - Marrakech/Imlil
Please arrive at the meeting point no later than 2:30 PM before we depart for Imlil, our base for the trek. After a brief welcome meeting with the group, you’ll board a bus for a scenic drive to Imlil, a key hub for trekking in the High Atlas Mountains. Once we arrive, your team of cooks will be preparing a delicious dinner, and you’ll have some time to relax and settle in. As you enjoy your meal, take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, marking the perfect start to your adventure in this stunning region of Morocco.
Day 2 - Trek from Imlil to Toubkal Refuge
Our trek begins as we head along the beautiful Mizane Valley, passing the village of Amend with its stunning mountain backdrop. We’ll then climb to the shrine of Sidi Charamouch, a peaceful spot visited by pilgrims, where you can enjoy a refreshing fresh orange juice from one of the local stalls. From there, the trail steadily climbs, winding its way up to the snow line and the Toubkal Refuge at 3,206m, our basecamp for the ascent. After setting up camp for the night, we’ll rest and prepare for tomorrow’s climb.
Day 3 - Summit of Mount Toubkal - Imlil
The group will begin the ascent of Mount Toubkal early this morning after a hearty breakfast. At 4,167m, the climb will take between three and five hours, but the effort will be well worth it as you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of Morocco’s stunning landscapes. From the summit, you’ll be able to see the Marrakech Plain to the north, the High Atlas mountains, and the vast Sahara desert to the south, making it the highest point in North Africa. After soaking in the incredible scenery, we’ll return to Imlil for the night.
Day 4 - imlil transfer to Marrakech or to the airport
After a relaxing breakfast, we’ll begin our transfer back to Marrakech, with an expected arrival around midday. The drive provides a chance to reflect on the incredible journey through the High Atlas mountains. Upon arrival in Marrakech, the tour officially ends.
