Enjoy a taste of authentic Berber life with an overnight stay in nomadic tents at a desert camp in M’hamid. ITINERARY
Day1: Marrakech - Tizi N'tichka - Ait ben haddou - Ouarzazte - Dades
We depart from Marrakech at 08:30 in a modern, air-conditioned vehicle, traveling through the stunning Atlas Mountains with scenic views along the way. Our first stop is the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, followed by a lunch break in Ouarzazate at local cafés.
After lunch, we continue through the beautiful Dades Valley, arriving at our guesthouse for the night after a 6 to 7-hour drive. The guesthouse offers private ensuite rooms, with dinner and breakfast included for a comfortable and relaxing stay.
Day2: Dades Gorges - Todra Gorges - Merzouga
The next morning, we continue our journey along the Dades Valley, visiting the stunning Dades Gorge, Todra Gorge, and other fascinating sites as we make our way to Merzouga. Upon arrival, we’ll explore the village before meeting our camels, each with their own ride, for a 1.5-hour trek into the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
The camel ride is timed to take place just before sunset, allowing you to enjoy the incredible views as the sun sets over the desert. Once at the desert camp, you’ll experience a lively drum party and enjoy swapping stories under the stars. The camp is equipped with toilet facilities, and while you’re welcome to sleep under the open sky, there are also comfortable bivouacs available for everyone. With no light pollution in the desert, the stars shine brightly, offering an unforgettable night sky experience. The drive today is about 6 to 7 hours.
Day3 : Merzouga - Alnif - Ouarzazte - Marrakech
Wake up early for a special sunrise camel ride, taking us on a 1-hour trek to explore the desert further as the sun rises over the dunes. After the ride, we head back to Merzouga, where you can enjoy a hearty breakfast and have the chance to freshen up with a shower.
We then begin our journey back to Marrakech, traveling through the stony desert and over the Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll stop for photos, exploration, and lunch, ensuring a scenic and relaxed return. We typically arrive in Marrakech between 17:00 and 18:00.
